Having completed her postgraduate degree in art at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Aksoy has been at the head of the Tapestry Studio attached to the painting department of the same university since 1993. Without separating her artistic practice from her identity as an educator, she has taken a stance to both learn and produce. Besides producing her own works, she has been a part of many collective projects such as the Atılkunst collective. She held solo exhibitions both in Istanbul and Munich, and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. She continues her work as an artist and as an educator.
