In this installation inspired by the movement of light and sundials, Eli Bensusan abstracts his inner states that changed and transformed with the time he spent at Gate 27 and expresses the flow of light and shadow on different forms, textures, and materials. The installation invites the viewers to reflect on the dynamic atmosphere of the topography viewed from the residency area, the colors and textures of natural and architectural elements that change day by day, the creative process the artist goes through, and the concepts of beginning-process-end. It puts forward an approach that sees time as the transformation of the “world”. In addition, the viewer can read a unique numerical value on the clock, shaped by the dynamics of the space, by deciphering the numbers placed through geometric shapes.
