Gökçe Erhan was born in Çamburnu village in Sürmene district of Trabzon. She completed her undergraduate education in Mimar Sinan University Fine Arts Faculty Painting Department at the top of her class. The artist won the Sakıp Sabancı Art Award and participated in various exhibitions in Istanbul, London, and Munich ampng others.
She left Istanbul in 2012 to settle in her hometown, Sürmene, Çamburnu, restored the 150-year-old village house she inherited from her family and transformed the historic building into an ecological house that does not produce garbage.
While continuing her works, she founded the Çamburnu Nature Culture and Art Association to spread and expand the ecological, cultural and artistic life she had realized in her own life. At the same time, she stayed connected with city life through events such as exhibitions, performances and conferences.
