Evaluation Commitee

Valeria Schulte-Fischedick is responsible for the International Studio Program at Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, where she lives and works.

Her curatorial practice is informed by a long-standing engagement with feminist and queer perspectives and by an interest in artistic approaches that explore the formless and the abject. Recent curatorial projects include MANIFEST Yourselves! (Queer-)Feminist Manifestos Since the Suffragettes (2022/2023, Distanz Verlag, Berlin, 2023) and Swimmingpool – Troubled Waters (2021/2022), both presented at Künstlerhaus Bethanien and accompanied by publications.

Beyond her work at Künstlerhaus Bethanien, she has curated exhibitions and projects in institutional and independent contexts. She studied Art History, English, and Modern History at Humboldt University in Berlin, and her writings appear regularly in national and international art journals and exhibition catalogues.
