Two new projects from Onur Yazıcıgil

Onur Yazıcıgil has recently released a new typography project, Kit Rounded, co-designed with Eben Sorkin, commissioned by Darden Studio in New York, and available on Adobe Fonts. The designed typeface system shifts the norms of designing rounded typefaces based on conventional sanserifs.

The designer also participated in the publication of the Arabic Typography: History and Practice with the invitation of Titus Nemeth. He contributed a chapter entitled The Genealogy of Ottoman Naskh Printing Types (1729 to 1928), which focuses on the formation and historical development of the naskh typefaces produced and employed in Istanbul from 1729 until 1928. The book is available from Niggli Verlag in Switzerland and Homer Bookstore in Turkey.
