Tamer Nakisci is an interdisciplinary designer with a strong vision and fascination for the future. With his ability to play with ideas and forms, emotions, materials, and technologies in surprising and innovative ways; Tamer Nakisci explores new scenarios, physical and emotional interactions between people, spaces, and objects through his work.

He studied Industrial Design at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. He started his career at Fiat Advanced Design Concept Lab – Milan in 2004, followed by his first worldwide recognition in 2005 at the Nokia Benelux Design Awards with his groundbreaking “Nokia 888” concept. He was selected among “Europe’s 100 young creative talents” by the European Union in 2009, and has been invited to numerous workshops and conferences around the world.

Based in Istanbul and London— he is working across a broad range of projects, varying from product design to installations. His relatively short career has garnered him a plethora of international prizes and exhibitions, including a showcase at Villa Noailles Design Parade and the prestigious Wallpaper* Design Awards. He’s one of the “10 Contemporary Turkish Artists you should know” according to Artsy.
