“Resident Soils” Exhibition
The exhibition Resident Soils, which includes works by Ali Cindoruk, Aslıhan Demirtaş, Ekin Kano, Gökçe Erhan and Gülçin Aksoy is taking place at Eldem Art Space Dalyancı Konağı.
Curated by Yasemin Ülgen, the exhibition proposes to look at the ties we have established with the land as its inhabitants from past to present in an ecological, social, political and cultural context.
Inspired by the ancient Anatolian culture, the exhibition explores the relationship of soil with fertility, abundance and production; from nomadic culture to the melting borders of megacities; from the relationship of soil with the body to its irrelevance, and invites the viewer to rethink current situations and overlooked traces.
The exhibition will be on view from August 31, 2024 to May 11, 2025.
