Levent Aygül’s works is being displayed in Galeri Nev’s exhibition The Light of the Mind, Cold and Planetary until March 30. Gizem Gedik curates the exhibition and named it after the lines of Sylvia Plath’s poem The Moon and the Yew Tree. In line with its source of inspiration, the exhibition treats the image of the moon, with its vitality to the history of humanity and culture, as an expression that could be read in various concepts. Associated with the lightness and darkness of an individual’s inner world, death and depression, feminine energy, and the phases of change between nature and humans, the symbol of the moon inspires diverse interpretations and readings.
