Mairi Pardalaki is Conducting a Research Residency on the Island of Leros
Mairi Pardalaki is conducting one-month research residency on the island of Leros, supported by the Greek National Opera.
During her residency, she is investigating texts, images, and songs that convey the “Turkish image” in Greek history schoolbooks and public celebrations, exploring how these narratives leave traces of alienation on young student bodies. By retracing these “leftovers” that may still linger within us, her project aims to transform them through a future performance work, creating a reflective dialogue between history, memory, and embodiment.
